Annapolis Failure - Negotiating Jerusalem an Act of Treason

According to IsraelNationNews.com, leading Hamas member and Deputy Speaker of the Palestinian Authority parliament, Ahmed Bahar, announced on Thursday that the PA legislature passed a first reading of a “Jerusalem bill.”

This law forbids any negotiations or concessions that involve Jerusalem. Any such votes or negotiations will be null and void in advance, and anyone found to be in violation of this law will be guilty of treason and be punished accordingly.

Jerusalem and its borders, including Jewish and Christian holy sites such as the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, the Jewish Quarter, and the City of David are considered Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic land.

A second reading of this law will soon be passed when the PA legislature reconvenes. It will be given to Mahmoud Abbas for his signature.

This law officially makes the Annapolis Peace Conference null and void. Like I said in an earlier article, the summit was only good as a photo-op for the leaders involved. There never was any intent to reach a peaceful compromise. The Palestinian view for the Middle East is a land where Israel no longer exists.
